2019 Chevy Blazer – All You Wanted to Know!

The 2019 Chevy Blazer is just days away from arriving at Wallace Chevrolet. What is it? What does it offer? Here’s all you need to know about Chevrolet’s latest crossover vehicle!

What is it?
The new Blazer is a sporty two-row, four-door SUV! The Blazer was purposefully designed to stand-out from the crowd, with a front-end that’s unique among the Chevy lineup and a super-stylish interior that echoes the Chevrolet Camaro sports car.

How big is it?
The new Chevy Blazer is sized between the compact Chevrolet Equinox and full-size Chevrolet Traverse SUVs. As you can see below, Blazer is 8.3″ longer, 2.4″ higher and 4.1″ wider than the smaller Equinox. Meanwhile, the Traverse is 12.9″ longer, 3.7″ higher, and 1.9 inches wider than the Blazer.  Like Equinox, it’s available only with two rows of seats.

What trims  and engines are available?
Blazer is available in five different trims: Blazer 2.5, Blazer 3.6, True North, RS and Premier.

A 2.5L I4 engine (193hp & 188lb-ft torque) is standard on Blazer 2.5, while all other trims receive a sportier and more powerful 3.6L V6 engine (305hp & 269lb-ft torque). Both engines are equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Here’s the breakdown:

What are some of the optional features?
Owners can really make Blazer their own thanks to a selection of options, which include:

HITCH GUIDANCE
Aids in aligning the vehicle’s hitch to a trailer by providing a real time view of the High Definition Rear Vision Camera while the vehicle is in motion. It also includes a Hitch View feature that provides top-down view of the trailer hitch, making it easy to hitch your trailer.

HD SURROUND VISION CAMERA (available on Blazer 3LT, RS and Premier)
With the help of four strategically placed cameras, Surround Vision gives drivers a virtual birds-eye top-down view around their vehicle. All the cameras merge to a transmit an image that gives a full 360-degree view of the vehicle from above. Like magic!

REAR CAMERA MIRROR (available on Blazer 3LT, RS and Premier)
Compared to a traditional inside rear view mirro, the innovative rearview mirro display provides a wider, less-obstructed field of view to assist when driving, changes lanes and checking for vehicles and traffic conditions. The image can be adjusted for brightness, tilt or zoom using buttons on the mirror. It can revert back to a traditional mirror with the push of a button.

CHEVY-BLAZER-FRONT-END

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (available on RS and Premier)
This feature enhances regular cruise control by using a front-mounted radar to maintain a selected distance between the vehicle ahead- reducing the need for the driver to frequently brake and accelerate. The best part? It even works in stop-and-go traffic.

FORWARD COLLISION ALERT (available on RS and Premier)
If the system detects that a fron-end collision situation is imminent while following a detected vehicle, the system can alert the driver to a potential crash. It can also alert you if you are following a detected vehicle much too closely.

AND MANY MORE!!
